Therapy For Children & Youth 

Areas of support: 

At Solace Therapy, we offer specialised services for children and adolescents aged 5-18, addressing a wide range of needs, including: Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, ODD, and ASD presentations.

 

Our therapeutic interventions are grounded in current evidence and designed to have the most significant impact on young people. Though, we ensure that our resources and approach are engaging and relevant to your child or young person. We ensure that no matter the age, all our clients feel valued, heard and respected as the people they are. 

 

We utilise principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioraul Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I am experienced in working with clients who have expressed suicidal ideation, although high-risk clients may require referrals to additional services to ensure comprehensive support.

 

Additionally, I provide support for school and educational issues, drawing on my extensive experience within the Victorian education system to help young people thrive academically and emotionally.

For Parents & Gaurdians

At solace therapy, we believe that family plays a critical and important role in the lives of children and young people. For that reason, we ensure that caregivers are included where appropriate in the therapeutic process. During initial sessions, 50 minutes is allocated for the child/young person, with the remaining 30 minutes left for discussion with you. Following this, there may be sessions where you are invited to participate. This will be discussed with you ahead of time.

Therapy For Adults

At Solace Therapy, I offer comprehensive support for adults facing a variety of life challenges. I see you as a person to be worked alongside, not someone to be "fixed." My areas of expertise include:

My practice is grounded in person-centered and strength-based approaches. I utilise Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you understand and harmonise the different parts of yourself, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to encourage living in alignment with your values, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address and reframe thought patterns. Additionally, I incorporate Psychodynamic techniques to explore the influence of past experiences on present behavior and mindfulness-based strategies to cultivate present-moment awareness and reduce stress. I am also well-versed in techniques and approaches from multiple other therapies.
